Colorado Camp 2009 Review
Please read the following email and reply if you will be joining us.  If you will not be joining us please let me know if you will be attending another camp during the month of November.

We will begin training at Brundage the day it opens.

We will be going to Colorado for early season GS training.  We will be training with Quantum Sports Club (Breckenridge Colorado).  All gate training will be done at A-Basin.

Schedule:
November 3rd - Travel Day.
November 4th - GS Free Skiing.
November 5th - GS Free Skiing.
November 6th - GS Training/GS Free Skiing.
November 7th - GS Training/GS Free Skiing.
November 8th - GS Training/GS Free Skiing.
November 9th - GS Training.  Travel Day.

Event:
All athletes will be training GS.  This is a great opportunity to focus on GS.  When Brundage opens we will have plenty of opportunity to get caught up with slalom.

Conditioning:
We will have conditioning every day.  Please bring the appropriate clothing.  Some session will be held inside and others will be held outside.

Cost:
$725.00.  This is a ballpark price based off of four athletes attending.  This includes, MSRT van expense, lift tickets, lane fees, and housing.  It does not include airfare and food.  We will be staying in either a house or a condo.  MSRT athletes will work together in preparing meals.

I will drive the team van and all equipment to and from Colorado.  This will prevent any excess baggage and overweight costs.

Daily meetings will consist of the following.
1.  Video...what to look for and how to evaluate.
2.  MSRT Ski Racing vocabulary.....rise line, fall line, horizontal (H) line.
3.  Inspection.   How to identify the above and what to do with that information.
4.  Ski tuning.

This camp will cover more than just GS training.  We will have daily meetings (outside of the normal video and scheduling meetings) to discuss a variety of topics.  They will include but are not limited to the following:
1.  ...the importance of working and functioning as a team.  We will explore ways to support one another during training and on race days.
2.  ...share stories of success and failure and situations that may have led to each.
3.  Race calendar.
4.  Nutrition
5.  Conditioning.
6.  ....what to expect as a J3.
7.  ...what does it mean to be competitive.
8.  ....the importance of "doing the correct thing" when nobody is looking.
9.  Goal setting..short term and long term.

I will need a reply no later than Wednesday, September 30th.  More details will be made available on October 1st.  At this time we will work together of flights to Colorado.
