| Home Race Day Volunteers 2012-2013 |
MSRT needs all parents to help on race days which are held at Brundage Mountain and the Little Ski Hill. Please mark your calendar in advance to help out. Here is a preview of the days that MSRT is hosting races during the 2012-2013 winter season:

January 12-13 North Series Slalom @ Brundage Mountain Resort.
January 26-27 3Way @ Little Ski Hill.
February 9-11 3SG @ Brundage Mountain Resort.
March 9-10 Brundage Winter Games @ Brundage Mountain Resort.
April 6 Brundage Mountain Marathon @ Brundage Mountain Resort.
| Race Officials Clinic 2012 |
Date: Saturday, November 3rd.
Location: MSRT Alpine Racing Center.
Time: TBA.
Note: This clinic is open to any parent, alumni, or anyone interested in becoming an official. The clinic will cover start and finish referring duties and timing/calculations. MSRT is always looking for help in the timing booth.

Volunteer Jobs
Hand timers x 4.
(2 at the top and 2 at the bottom, stop watches)
Gate Keepers x 10.
(watches to make sure the athlete skis around the gates).
Starter x 1.
(works on a headset and counts down 3,2,1..go).
Assistant Starter x 1.
(line up athletes at the start).
Course Crew x 6.
(help set up, breakdown of the race each day, side slip).
Finish Referee x 1.
(act as another set of eyes at the finish, need USSA number).
Scoreboard x 2.
(post times on the scoreboard)
Bib Collector x 2.
(collect bibs from the athletes after their second run).
Lunch Person x 2.
(help distribute lunches to all volunteers and MSRT coaches during the race).
Registration x 2
(collects entries on the morning of the race and distributes bibs).
Timing Crew x ??
(we have a small timing crew but we are always looking to train new volunteers).
Head Gate Keeper x ??
(we have a head gate keeper but we are always looking to train new volunteers).
